About these terms
These terms apply when you use ratechaser.co.uk and its tools. The site is run by Ram Chunilal, a sole trader based in the UK, trading as Rate Chaser ("we", "us"). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
What Rate Chaser is, and isn't
- Rate Chaser gives you information and free tools to help you plan your savings. You decide what to do with your money.
- It is not financial advice. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and nothing on the site is a personal recommendation to open, move or close any account.
- Before you act, check the rates, terms and FSCS protection with the provider, and get regulated advice if you need it.
How accurate the information is
We check interest rates, banking licences and savings rules against providers' and official sources, and show when we last checked. But they change, sometimes without notice, and we can't promise that everything on the site is complete, accurate or up to date. The results of our tools also depend on the details you enter.
Using the site
You may use the site and its tools for your own personal, non-commercial use. Please don't misuse it: for example, by trying to break or overload it, get around its security, or copy large parts of its content or data for your own service.
The site's design, text, tools and the data we've compiled belong to us. Links to other websites are for your convenience; we don't control those sites and aren't responsible for them.
Our responsibility to you
The site is free and provided as it is. We'll take reasonable care to run it well, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.
We are not responsible for any loss that comes from decisions you make using the site, including interest you could have earned or money above an FSCS limit, except where the law doesn't allow us to exclude it. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Changes
We may update the site and these terms. The date at the top shows when the terms last changed; the version on this page applies when you use the site.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there.
